Delivery Charges

• Orders under £40 will be charged £7 for standard delivery
• Orders over £40 will vary between £1- £4.50.
• There is no delivery charge for orders over £100 booked for delivery on Monday - Thursday after 2pm, once you have selected your time slot on your summary page it will confirm free delivery.
• Minimum order value £25​
• The delivery charge will be confirmed when you place your order.

Like Asda, Sainsbury’s isn’t offering delivery slots on Christmas Eve. Sainsbury’s online is closed for delivery on December 24, 25 and 26. That means you’ll need to get your Christmas shopping. The Sun found delivery slots at Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, and Tesco had sold out for over a week at some addresses, while shoppers are also complaining of delays on social media. At the moment Sainsbury's home deliveries are only open to existing customers with no new registration currently being allowed. At the moment there are no delivery slots for two weeks. Sainsbury's - told Martin Lewis that 'when the slots are released will vary - there isn't a specific time and it doesn't depend on the store'. One follower reported success every Monday.

Delivery Pass

Sainsbury’s online is showing a greater amount of food delivery and click & collect slots than it has over the last few months, but the situation changes day-by-day. The supermarket is finally allowing new customers to register online again – for the first time since lockdown began. However, unless you’re an elderly or vulnerable customer, you will only be able to order groceries via click & collect. Customers who are already registered are still eligible for home delivery.

Sainsbury’s opening hours

Sainsbury’s has extended its opening hours, with the majority of its stores now open from 8am to 8pm. There is a dedicated shopping hour for elderly and vulnerable customers between 8am and 9am every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. NHS and social care workers can also take advantage of priority opening times, with stores opening at 7:30am to 8am Monday to Saturday.
